On The Pod #2 : Dave Matthews And Friends

You may or may not recall that Dave Matthews toured with a group of musicians under the title "Dave Matthews & Friends" during the 2003-2004 concert season, culminating with a performance at the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 11th, 2004. Recordings of this concert are available, either professionally mixed soundboards for a price, or individually taped "auds" (audience recordings) for free. I'd highly recommend downloading a copy of the show...

The lineup included Dave, Tim Reynolds, and Trey Anastasio (arguable 3 of the top 20 guitarists alive), along with Tony Hall (phenomenal bass player) and Ray Paczkowski (keyboards).

The show itself is simply spectacular. Solid performances by talented musicians, complimented by some outstanding orginals and covers, and a real electricity shared between the audience and the band. One of my favorite shows to relax to.
